The 2025 Tax Increase Proposal
**Would pay to maintain the current level of service to the District
-No new employees are being proposed currently
**Would bring approximately $2,300,000 to the District
-Makes property taxes approximately 60% of total revenue received
**Would also provide pay increases to operational staff to be more competitive with the industry standards
The last 3 years, the District has used roughly $2,000,000 per year to maintain the current level of service.
Call volumes have increased tremendously over the last 3 years:
2021 – 4500
2022 – 4827
2023 – 5118
2024 – 4463 as of 9/25/2024, projected to be 6300
The District is continuing to pursue a Sales Tax option that tourism will help fund the Fire District.
If the District is successful then property taxes will be lowered to a rate less than the 2024 rate.
