39 Year Hurricane Valley Legacy Retires

  Posted on May 20, 2019

Sr. Engineer/EMT-A Mike Bringhurst decided to bring his 39 years of service to the Hurricane Valley to a close.  His service to the citizens of Washington County is legendary.  "Oh good.  Mike's here" was the most common response from individuals who had called for assistance.  His mannerisms, patient rapport, district knowledge and ability to respond are second to none.  Mike contributed 6,503 hours of training, response and call standby over the last two years leading St. George Fire Chief Robert Stoker to claim Mike must live in the fire station basement to go on so many calls.  True to his nature, Mike apologized for slowing down.   Needless to say, he has left some huge boots to fill.
